The Bucs After Brady

I'll give you Brady but Fournette? An overdrafted running back that averaged less than 4 yards per carry and was not even the best rb on the Bucs roster. RoJo was by far the more explosive and better back. Both of them dropped several balls and Fournette had over 10 drops.

AB who was out of the league last year and Gronk is past his prime. AB looked good at times but the Bucs seemed like a better team when Scotty Miller was in the game vs AB. Sure if you go off of name recognition then I'll give you dream team I guess but it is far from a dream team production wise.

Fournette was a key contributor in the playoffs: 300 yards, 3 TDs over all 4 games. Jones not so much: 140 yards, 0 TDs over 3 games. They used Jones at the 1 yard line on 4th in the SB, he couldn't punch it in.

The Bucs run game wasn't a strength either in the regular season or the playoffs, but they improved just enough (from poor to average) to balance out the pass game against some really tough defenses in the postseason. They were able to use it to kill the clock at crucial times.

Jones got the bulk of the regular season carries, and improved as a runner, but although he said he worked on catching, he wasn't reliable. Fournette spelled him mostly, occasionally had the hot hand, and was a dual threat catching. I honestly didn't see either of them as clearly better or worse than the other, but I'm glad we had them both.
