Two other middle linebacker options besides Zaven Collins at 28: Jayson Oweh and Joseph Ossai
Here's another LB we can take a look at on the second day of the draft if we can't get what we want on day 1.
Garret Wallow- LB, 6'2"/230#, 4.65-40, Bench- 22 reps., Vertical-32.5", 10-yd split- 1.64, 20-yd split- 2.68, Shuttle- 4.12, 3-Cone- 6.87.
Wallow is a hard-charging LB with average size and play speed. He's instinctive, flows pretty good to the ball and uses his hands well. He's fluid flipping his hips in transition, he gets good depth on pass drops and keeps the play in front of him. He shows a burst of speed firing upfield to defend the run. Squares up and wraps up tackling. He can effectively QB the defense from what I've watched of him on tape.
He's not super fast for a smaller LB and shows some indecision in coverage, but you can be coached up and become better in coverage, it's something that can be fixed.
All in all, I believe from I've seen, Wallow is an instinctive LB who lacks the physical skills to be a star, but he possesses the smarts and ability to be a solid starter in the right scheme.
