You are correct. When I worked for PH, our franchise had to carry Pepsi products. Company stores carried Coke products. Barqs root beer is the same. It was once independently owned and later sold their rights to coke. I could tell the difference after it happened. It tasted much better before the sale. After the sale, it was too sweet in my opinion . The root beer our franchise carried was A&W
