We'll see where LOKI goes but it might just be that its easier to watch and more universally relatable to tell a story about the Rebel vs the Faceless Machine than it is to stop your action story for a 10 minute soliloquy on racism.
Comic books have always been political but they're at their best when they're serving you the politics as a seamless part of the story and not breaking the 4th wall to say Here is the Message Part!
FWIW I liked FAWS more than WV, though I liked both.
