Formula One

The more I think about this season overall, the more Perez is becoming one of my favorite drivers. I really wanted him to do well from the start, but he's really stepped it up these last few races - which is critical if Red Bull want to continue challenging Mercedes for either championship.

He also seems like he's just a great human being who deserved this opportunity. His 2020 Sakhir GP was legendary, and a real feel good moment.

Yeah he seems really solid all around - Red Bull finally have their guy.

And they have to be feeling good, leading driver and builder coming into two weeks at their home track. Given how winning in F1 seems to become dominant, are we watching a changing of the guard happening right now? Is what seemed possible though perhaps not likely back in March becoming a reality? These next two are going to be very interesting - if Mercedes fall further behind, look out.
