Trust Sean Payton for the Saints Winning.

I know he's had opportunities with Teddy and Taysom, and despite his criticisms of himself during that time - he's passed with flying colors.

But I feel like this will be different. He's no longer implementing a stopgap. It's permanent and I think it will require him to be a lot more flexible than he would normally be.

He will need to be less... stubborn. When you've worked with someone like Drew Brees your entire HC career; someone who's capable of compensating for any flaws or shortcomings in your gameplan, how will he fare without that safety net?

For me, I disregard practically everything Payton has achieved thus far and look at this season as a fresh assessment of his skillset because I don't know what kind of coach he is without Drew Brees.
EXCELLENT post. I feel the same way. This will be a season where SP will have to face many new challenges. He now has to decide between two QBs before the season starts, how will he handle the situation if that QB starts to stink it up, does the other QB feel slighted, the locker room will now have a #1 veteran voice, etc. Many upon many things will be different. I’m sure he will be able to handle everything, but he will have his challenges for sure.
