Or maybe we see that a system can actually work wonders for a player. Dude averaged around 14 interceptions a year and then he throws 30 when playing in an outdated system with receiver options (something the media never brings up on those "WTF" interception but caped for Brady throwing the same "WTF" interceptions in the same situation). Common sense would tell folks that's an outlier but you know things can get muddled when it comes to certain players.

I look at it like this; in 2019, we talk about his interceptions but his defense and special teams stopped them from having a winning record. He kept them in more games more often than he kept them out and at the second half of the year, his numbers can be put up against anyone elite QB, and this is while finishing the season with a busted hand and knee. Other part of the narrative that isn't stated; he played the last 2 games of the year without his top receivers (that Houston game was brutal though) and everyone talks about the tipped pass that "ended" his Bucs career but don't talk about the kicker that missed all those field goals during the Falcons game. Not to mention, the game was tied on a last minute drive where the defense couldn't stop them on 4th down.

That being said, I feel good about him on the Saints. His upside is way higher than the media driven narrative.
