Anything Over 6 or 7 wins with Winston at Qb would be considered a win

Not sure where people get the idea this is a loaded team. On offense we have a great WR and great RB. No TE or number 2WR, an unproven QB (no matter who gets the start) and an average O line.

D we have an aging DE and one that is always hurt, one great LB, and one great CB who may miss time and average safety’s. We are not loaded. We are average and if our QB stinks it up we will be terrible.
Hell, I’m as big an optimistic fan as you’ll find! Dunno if somebody actually said it, or it’s jus your op, but NO, we AINT loaded!!!

😂😂😂

For the most part, I agree with your assessments. But I gotta take issue with you about the O line! “Average”? Really???

Many consider Ram n TA one of, if not the BEST OT duo in the entire NFL! Look it up!!!

Erik McCoy has started every game for us at C since he was drafted in the 2nd rd in 2019. In only 2 seasons he’s already ranked as one of the top 10 centers in the NFL. Former Saint player n now assistant O line Coach Zach Strief thinks that if all goes well, McCoy might well be considered for All Pro honors this year!

I dunno know why folk rag on him so hard, but Andrus Peat is a good, solid player. He was named to the Pro Bowl last season. I’m no big fan of the
AT ALL, but I do see it as recognition of good play.

When the Saints drafted Cesar Ruiz last year, the “vision” was to have him play C n McCoy move to RG. But COVID threw a wrench into things, the move was tanked, n Ruiz ended up havin to play RG. He hung in there, but was outta position, was often outweighed n got outplayed! IMO, if there was a “weak link” on the O line last year, it was Ruiz.

I’d like to see rookie Landon Young play at RG. Hes much bigger n stronger than Ruiz. If we have to lean more on the run game this year, then I think he’s the guy for position.

we’ll see
