Oddities in the MT13 Drama

A lot of people can't grasp that all of this happened in early June. So, all of this got sorted out back then.

I don't understand this emotional mob at all. If Thomas was fighting us to get surgery. Then, yes... We should be upset. He got his surgery and we are already 2 months into his recovery. He's been reporting to the Saints and doing his job. It's already been done and what matter is what happens next.

At the same time, a lot of people act like surgery is just an afternoon picnic. It's not and depending on the surgery. The outcome of a botched surgery is still there. The outcome of not fixing the issue is still there. The outcome of Thomas losing some athleticism and starting from square one for 1-2 years is still there.Just look at Alex Smith leg. While Thomas didn't keep in contact with the Saints. There is nothing said that he didn't reach his rehab milestone on his own like Lutz. At the end of the day, neither Lutz and Thomas rehab worked for them. Making a phone call isn't going to change that. It didn't matter to Lutz and both players end up in the same place.

It just sum up to Thomas not wanting to have surgery and doing his rehab on his own. He came to minicamp and PRACTICED. If he came to practiced... He thought he was healthy. He was wrong and Saints directed him to get surgery. He got surgery immediately. He didn't fight it or anything. He man up and got it done.

So, what all that really matters is what happens next. Thomas loves football and you think this MJ Alpha male egomaniac wants to miss anymore time than he already has? He wants to break records and crush defenders.

A lot of people misrepresent his character, because all you ever want to see his Twitter personality. But even his Twitter personality isn't about being a punk coward.

A lot don't see him at his church programs, his charity events, during interviews, or in real life. He's actually a very good amd soft spoken individual that's an insane competitor.
