Give Drew credit for admitting the deep throws have been missing.

No, this is not that. You cant even have a deep ball conversation with the way the line played. Just leave that totally out this week.

To throw the deep ball, you have to give WR time to go deep. That means the line have to give our QB time to throw, as the WR run. We have always had a top 5 line, giving us time to throw. Not yesterday.

I'm sure they will fix that.
You have just made my entire point.

In the most recent playoff games, the line has conveniently decided to play like crap. They looked just like yesterday in both the Minnesota and Tampa Bay games. Also, these same pedestrian at best Wide Receivers, who can’t get separation for Jameis and his cannon arm, also couldn’t get it for Drew and his “noodle”.

The same factors that had everyone screaming that Drew couldn’t move the chains or keep a defense on its heels reared their head for a QB we all know has the arm strength to launch it. When your line decides to not show up, then a QB can’t get into a rhythm. For a QB like Brees who was immobile outside of the pocket, bad OLine play impacted him greatly when trying to throw beyond 25+ yards. For a more mobile QB like Jameis, bad OLine play led to him hearing footsteps and trying to hero ball us out of pit.

In any case, yesterday proved that the long ball is not what kept us from deeper playoff runs. Like yesterday, when we play that terribly it’s usually a CONFLUENCE of issues and NOT just one element or player.
