Don't get it twisted...these rules are there to protect the players but it isn't for the players benefit...this is the NFL protecting their investments...no one wants to see Baltimore vs KC with Chad Henne squaring off against Tyler Huntley, the NFL knows it. Starting backup quarterbacks tank the overall "value" of a NFL broadcast.
