Some interesting data analysis on deaths in national parks. Drowning is the most common cause of death. Not counting vehicle accidents (which aren't really a function of the park though distractions within the park play a role), the second leading cause of death is falling.

Homicide doesn't even make the chart, it is extremely rare. Keep in mind that national park lands receive some 250 million visits per year.
