2022--The Year We Move Up for a QB

If there's one thing we know about Payton, it's that he will rarely take a chance at drafting a QB. Since he came on, we have drafted 4 guys:

Sean Canfield (7th, 2010)
Garrett Griffin (3rd, 2015)
Tommy Stevens (7th, 2020)
Ian Book (4th, 2021)

Canfield was a camp body, Griffin was a waste, and Stevens was picked to play another position mainly. Book has a chance to be on this team for the long haul. He played three years in college and is very underrated. There was a reason we kept him on the roster instead of the practice squad. In reality, if we wanted to invest in a QB, we would have done so over the last few years with the abundance of talent that has been developed.
