I agree with this post. I also think Payton is holding Taysom back by trying to make him into a pocket passer. Open up the playbook and let's utilize Harris's speed, and when you put Taysom in roll him out and have moving pockets, like the Ravens do with Lamar Jackson.

I think Payton is holding Taysom back by treating him like he's a QB. He's not. He can't do roll-outs because he's scared to pull the trigger and then he doesn't know when to run because he has zero field awareness when he's taking the snap from center. And Taysom doesn't have anything remotely close to Lamar's agility and escapability. Taysom is a god-tier H-back who can occasionally make a quick throw.
