2022--The Year We Move Up for a QB

Threads like this makes me question ones football acumen or they are so focused on the Saints that they can't see the forest for the trees. I hate to pick on this post but:

-Mahomes was GIFTED the reigning AFC Champions. And folks wanted to put everything on Alex Smith for the reason they couldn't get over the hump but they won a SB the first year after Sutton was fired. Just saying.
-The Ravens offense was BUILT for Jackson
-The Bills and Chargers were building a strong team before each respective player was drafted (not to mention Diggs impact on the Bills in 2020)

None were the #1 pick and all got drafted into better situations (infinitely better in the case of Mahomes) than the one that you can easily dismiss. If you don't understand this difference, I don't know what to tell you.

Some really bad info there starting with the fact that the Chiefs hadn't been AFC Champions since 1969 when it was the AFL. He was gifted a wild card team. Not the reigning AFC Champions. And the Ravens built their offense around Jackson..They had to totally change it from Flacco to Jackson. So it's okay for those good teams to draft young quarterbacks. But it's not okay for our team to draft a young quarterback? We'd be sending the wrong signal to our vets. But they didn't?
