I still think they could have dealt with this better at least regarding their contact with Gabby's parents AND been protected by an attorney. I understand completely the impetus to protect your own son, I don't understand just stonewalling the parents of the woman who was to be your daughter-in-law in an inhumane way.
Oh, but your question, no, I can't get onboard with that. They each will have grief they will have to find a way to live with, but Gabby's parents have to find a way to live with anger that won't consume them. But even if they do, to some extent it will take a toll. I'm sure John Walsh can help with that.
