Young couple goes on van tour of US, boy comes back with van - no girl

Well, if it was an accident, it's usually you'rey struck with sudden remorse, off yourself. If it's she was going to leave and nobody else was going to have her, it's usually a murder-suicide right then.
You don't drive home, go camping with your family, go on a solo hike (all while the girl's parents have no idea where their daughter is) and THEN say, I can't live anymore.

Yes, I am disappointed in the women. This always comes across to people as "blaming the victim" as if I think they deserve to get beaten for not leaving. What I want is for them to have recognized some early signs and then not get into the relationship. Men or women, you can't be fixers.

No, I def. don't want to be a mommy to a grown man.
It's never going to happen. It's just the way most young women are. They don't want a guy who doesn't need fixing. They want a 'bad boy' whose 'love' they can win over. If a guy wants to dote over them and treat them like a princess, they will run for the first brute they can find... one that only wants to use and abuse them. I've seen it all too often... and I've never understood the reason why girls want this ill treatment.

It's heartbreaking what happened to that little girl. But she made a very unwise choice in her romantic relationship that ultimately cost her her life. Every adult that saw the couple together could see that she was making a huge mistake. She wasn't mature enough to make the right decision and was too emotionally attached to bail out when others were recommending that she should. This is what immaturity does to people, and this kind of thing happens to young girls all the time.

I'm ashamed that I belong to the same gender as these abusers. If these guys can't treat these girls with loving care, they need to grow up before getting involved with them and stop making promises they will not keep. But then again... that would just make these foolish little girls desire them even more.
