Ja'Marr Chase's Rookie Season from a Historical Standpoint (Latest Blog)
I had him as the best WR and player in the draft. Using that WR attribute spreadsheet that I created for the 2020 draft and Chase's ability the position, there wasn't a doubt.
I traded for him or the ability to draft him in 3 different fantasy leagues.
League 1:
18 team dynasty/50-man rosters/5-man rookie squad
Traded: DeAndre Hopkins/Jared Cook for Ja'Marr Chase/2021 2.4/2021 4.4
League 2:
32 team contract dynasty/53-man rosters/16-player practice squad
Traded: Alvin Kamara/Will Dissly for Ja'Marr Chase/2022 2nd/2022 4th
League 3:
$50 Yearly/Money League (Leagues 3rd year, my first) 16 teams The team had no QB (Drew Lock), but had the 1st overall pick. I wanted to draft Chase and also acquire Burrow. I'm not a fan of Lawrence so I didn't want to take him overall, but didn't want to take Chase without a QB. The guy with Burrow agreed he would trade Burrow for Lawrence straight up. The guy with pick 2 wanted Jonathan Taylor. I traded Taylor for pick 2 and I also picked up pick 15 with a different trade. I drafted Chase at 1.1 and Lawrence at 1.2 then immediately traded Lawrence for Burrow. Currently tied for 2nd at 5-2.
