Bucs game plan...Shut down

Why is YARDS the measuring stick for the Bucs, but POINTS is the measuring stick for the Saints???

Can you do the above with POINTS for all, and then YARDs for all?

Thanks.

Doesn't Lil Tommy Boy depend on his D getting Take Aways???

Why can't JW do the same?
I did. First number is yards, second is points for both teams. I didn't think it had to be spelled out the entire line but since you are intentionally trying to spin obvious statements in the worst way possible, I guess I should have tried to fully idiot proof the comparisons so here you go:

So its Bucs offense vs Saints defense:
#2 (rank in yards per game for the Bucs lower numbers are better out of a total of 32 teams)/#3 (rank in points per game for the Bucs lower numbers are better out of a total of 32 teams) vs #8 (rank in yards per game for the Saints lower number are better out of a total of 32 teams)/#3 (rank in points per game for the Saints lower numbers are better out of a total of 32 teams)

Bucs defense vs Saints offense:
#9 (rank in yards per game for the Bucs lower numbers are better out of a total of 32 teams)/#10 (rank in points per game for the Bucs lower numbers are better out of a total of 32 teams) vs #29 (rank in yards per game for the Saints lower number are better out of a total of 32 teams)/#17 (rank in points per game for the Saints lower numbers are better out of a total of 32 teams)

Also it should be obvious, but when a unit is in the top 10 in the league they have demonstrated a capacity for not having to rely on the other unit. The Bucs offense, the Bucs defense, and the Saints defense, are all in the top 10 in the league, so they have shown higher than average competence.

The only major unit between the two teams that below average or worse is the Saints offense ... therefore the likely key to the game is going to be if the Saints offense can produce above what their current production has been. Few of the Saints offensive touchdowns have come when the Saints started on their own half of the field, while the Bucs have had few issues doing the same.

Every team scores more touchdowns when they start their drive on the opponent's half of the field, so yes, Lil Tommy Boy will be helped if his defense gets those deep turnovers, but the Bucs offense has shown they are much more capable of generating and sustaining long TD drives compared to the Saints offense. Which is something the Saints offense has struggled to do this year. Thus my opinion that the major key to the game is if the Saints offense can sustain those long TD drives better than they have so far this season, because if every unit performs to their average so far, the Saints will lose with few points on the board.
