Like I said, that was when it was finally decided (not until the Jacksonville pre-season game) that Jameis had earned the staring job; so he was pulled early. Trying to say that the QB competition wasn't very close for most of training camp is just trying to rewrite history

I don’t think it was close. If you listen during the off-season WWL kept saying Winston looked better. Yes I think Sean made it look closer than it was to spare Taysom’s feelings, and he still got butt hurt in the Jags game. He wanted Winston to earn it without flat out naming him QB1. This makes Winston who has been given everything in his life want it and play better. Then the fan base I love Hill but Winston is the better QB. Half the fans wanted the inferior QB to be QB1 because they like Hill and couldn’t believe he didn’t get the job. Hill can’t throw the deep ball even though had a big arm and doesn’t anticipate his throws. I think Hill will do good and win games.
