Hill vs Siemian why is there a debate?

The Saints really don't need a flashy 'Drew Brees-style' of offense. They need a guy who can keep the sticks moving and eat up some clock. I'm not expecting either Trevor or Taysom to build a long resume' of 40-burger victories... and with our defense this year they don't have to pull of that feat.

We have seen Payton shift from fielding a 'pass-first' offense to creating a much more balanced attack. As it stands at this moment you can compare Siemian's skills to what we saw from Brees the last few years, where Taysom's attributes favor having a stronger ground game. Naturally the scary side of that plan is trying to have Taysom do the majority of the pounding.

Being able to trust our current receiving corps may contribute quite a bit to the style of offense that Payton will choose. But I still believe that we will see some 'quarterbacking by committee' in the weeks ahead. Sean did it a lot while Drew was still around and I see no reason that he won't do the same now. In some ways you can assume that the plan will be to keep the opponents' defensive coordinator guessing which style we are most likely to use. And that might just be a good thing.
