Waiver Priority based on current league standings (potential OBJ waiver)
Saints do not have the cap room to claim him. They would have to hope he clears waivers.
Would have to hope he clears waivers and that there is no teams interested once he does.
I can see several teams offering him a "rest of the year" prove it deal. All of them have more cap space and I'd imagine that most of them still have avenues of freeing up more space if needed. I think we've just about exhausted our ability to kick the can already.
I could see Raiders, Packers, Ravens, Steelers, Chiefs, Eagles, and even the Patriots making offers. The only advantage we may have over those teams is that he's from New Orleans. But that hometown thing rarely actually comes into play.
Future money in mind, I think Green Bay, Baltimore, and KC would be attractive to him. All teams with SB potential, especially if they had another weapon on offense. He picks the right team, behaves himself, helps them win a Superbowl... next season some team will pay him.
All that being said, my bet is that he ends up finishing the season with the Browns after whatever is going on cools down some.
