NFL Rumors: Salary Cap 'Expected to Reach' $208.2M for 2022-23 Season

dont really agree. kicking the can is all good, but if your kicking the can to have a mediocre roster.. welp.

were currently 50mil over the cap for next season. with not that many players signed up.
we pretty much need to kick the can just to get under the cap. we aint signing anyone significant. were not getting stronger.

and we will be in the same boat next year, because well, were kicking the can by necessity.
Worst part is we put ourselves in a position where we cant cut terrible contracts (*cough peat *cough*) because we need these guys to restructure cause we have no flexibility to take dead cap hits.

And for all this money trouble we dont even have a franchise QB on the books.
I love loomis, but lets not act like were in a healthy cap situation. its a bleak outlook.

We need to nail the next couple drafts if we want to sniff another championship anytime soon.

edit: i see you basically think the same.. kicking the can at this point is by necessity.
Yeah, you can't get off the train once it gets rolling. It's probably why the Saints has one of the deepest scouting department in the league. They are in situations where picks have to hit at much higher level than expected. Which they for the most part have succeed in doing such. The main issue is the lack of picks, tho. It's starting to change tho.
