Saints haven't drafted a QB in the first round in the last 50 years

I’ve already braced myself for Oline - I think that’s the most bankable value
So far it seems like Ruiz is our only big miss drafting Oline (I’d entertain arguments for Peat as well, but it’s a much more nuanced discussion)
My hesitation with WR is that SP is still figuring out offense identity- drafting WR at mid round 1 seems to put cart before horse (esp w MT returning please please)
I agree guido. I already have that feeling of disappointment. We'll be drafting just outside the top 10 and some great WR prospects will be on the board. It will seem like need has finally met value and we're finally going to take one of these stud WRs in the 1st. There, in that Schrodinger's WR moment, our minds run wild with possibility.

Then the pick is announced and it's a Center from Iowa. But you hit the nail on the head about the bankable value for drafting O line. Even misses like Peat and Ruiz have value. They might not play up to their draft position but they can still be contributors. Some positions, like WR, seem much more dicey. Here's an informative and eye opening read about drafting WRs in the first round...
