My wife has her own way of saying it as "Ah-mnee-crahn". I tell her there's no "n" between the "m" and "i", but the more I say it, the more she digs in on saying it wrong. I mean, it's not worth getting divorced over and I'm used to her mispronouncing certain words. She grew up listening to her mother speak, who is from Honduras with English as her second language. Melk instead of milk, "hu" sounds with the "h" silent like "youman", "youmoungous", "youmid".
