They're overachieving on the unfounded rumors this year.....
1) Payton to the Cowboys - because of his past and relationship with Jerra?
2) Payton to the booth!! That's a new one.... Amazon Prime is calling
3) Payton to the Bears - because going to college in Illinois would make you want to take a huge step backwards?
4) Payton to the Raiders - who knows
5) Payton to the Giants - because he got stripped of his play calling duties there?
I start to wonder why Payton seems to be the object of more of these rumors than any other coach...
Is it a straight up bias against New Orleans being a small market? Like no one can believe he would stay here?
Is it his own people just creating buzz?
Where are these rumors for Pete Carroll or McDermott or Shanahan or McVay or Matt LaFleur?
