He's better off in the college ranks where he doesn't have to answer to an NFL GM or an owner. College ADs are milquetoast by comparison.

Yeah, but I doubt he will want to continue to have his future determined by having to talk 17 and 18 year-old kids into going to his school. Recruiting takes a lot of time up for college coaches. He may not want to do it anymore and he may not enjoy it. Also, with all the NIL stuff coming and the musical chairs in the transfer portal, he may not want to have to learn a new way to run a college program when he can go to the NFL and not have to worry about any of that.
