Are you willing to get the Covid vaccine when offered?

Also, the JAMA article is a writeup summarizing recent studies. If you want the actual original articles I should be able to get them it you want.
I may stick with the CDC for now. I'm drinking and probably not ready to read all that, but thanks. I may later. Depends.

Speaking of which, from that first study...

If I'm reading this right, this is people who were at the ER, either complaining about being sick, or just show were there for anything. So, % positive based on status. during Delta and Omicron being the predominant strain. Omicron has less data from this time period, so it may be over estimating all groups.

I'll ignore VE for now, but just looking at it, the unvaccinated, during the Delta surge, 37% were covid-19 positive, while longer term 2 dosers, were 13% positive, and those who were boosted, were a paltry 3.2% positive.

Omicron switches it up a bit, where unvaccinated were almost 50%, either 2 dose group, regardless of time was around a third positive, and anyone boosted was 13% positive. So, suggests lower vaccine effectiveness, but also suggest higher odds of unvaccinated getting infected.

Now, hospitalizations. About 40% of unvaccinated had covid and were hospitalized. Or hospitalized, and had covid. Then, each vaccination group was dramatically less. Interesting how the 3 doses group is so low. Keep in mind, that's also predominantly the oldest folks who had their booster by then, who are more likely to be hospitalized.
