12 years ago today: "PIGS HAVE FLOWN!"

I still feel that was THE single most emotional moment in Saints history!

We were GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!

[Anyone else remember all the flooding of posts by folks of memories of their parents or grandparents who were no longer with us but "were looking down from heaven" (and perhaps aided that kick).]

(Truth be told, those posts might have been on the old NOLA site.)

ETA: Here's my 2015 post, but the article linked doesn't seem to be complete: https://saintsreport.com/threads/my...oday-say-a-prayer-for-her.339829/post-5973584

ETA2: "Somewhere on my hard drive", I saved all of the posts, but... I can't find them. But... I did find this one post that sorta encapsulates the feelings:

To all Saints fans who have contributed to this thread, I want to thank you for your posts. I have read everyone of them and I can hardly see the key board because of tears running down my face. Your stories of your dear relatives and friends have touched me deeply, and I will remember this night. My parents taught me how to be a, Saints fan just like many of you, and I cherish every moment we had together, whether we were just talking about the Saints or were at the game. They're both gone now but will forever be with me, until I join them later. I just want to share with you something I know my Dad would have told me this week, as I prattle on about the Saints winning the Super bowl. He would have said, "why are you worrying about winning on Sunday?" "Don't you realize that you have already won, just like everyone who has posted on this thread. Our team is 15 and 3, and just think of the joy, and the prayers that have already been answered in just the last two weeks?" "Have we ever been this united, this close, this open about our innermost thoughts and prayers?" "Victory is already ours, whatever happens on Sunday, we have suceeded much more than what we could have expected, in our wildest dreams." "Champions we are, nobody can take that away from us. Whoever said that football is just a game, doesn't know much about life, loving, hard work, family, having fun, and just feeling how good it feels to express our love." Thanks Dad...where ya'll watching the game next sunday?
