Microsoft just wants subscriptions to Gamepass...it's a great value and probably the most consumer friendly....the long term effect on the devs of these games is yet to be seen....look for plenty of monetization from Gamepass titles to allow devs to recoup money they might have gotten for a traditional sale of their game

how good of a long term plan is it to focus on Gamepass when you don't have really good games coming in on the backend. For me they are losing the console wars due to the quality of exclusives. If you compare the only PS exclusives to the only MS exclusives, this hasn't been a competition at least since LOU came out.

The Halo and GOW series made it interesting for a while but both of those series became stale really fast.
