We aren’t out of the woods by any stretch but it is going to take a significant change in Covid to push sentiment back towards restrictions.
I agree that restrictions should be dropped everywhere and the people not following their own guidance undermine any future restrictions or guidance if/when needed.
The numbers are trending down, but we're still averaging about about 2000-2500 people dying in the U.S. every day right now. Which, two years in, is both saddening and maddening.
But yeah, by and large everyone is done with the restrictions and wants to move on. If/when a new variant creates a spike it should be dealt with it when it happens, but at this point everyone should be aware of covid and how to try to protect yourself from it, recognizing that those that don't are the ones making up the majority of the casualties.
