Not even that, unless the world ends that method will always work as long as the talent is their to justify the contracts. Even if you sign a guy to a deal and he flames out there is a draft every year so you can find his replacement and release the player because like most contracts there are clauses that teams can get out of.

People believe these contracts are iron clad in terms of money due when most contracts are incentive based and in the Saints case these contacts are drawn up to eventually be restructured each year with a signing bonus to create cap space
