" We've got some work to do , to improve that room " Mickey Loomis on our WRs

What???? TQS is not that good. He’s easily replaceable.
With who? If he were easily replaceable with superior talent, don't you think he would've been replaced a while ago? Payton, as loyal as he was, was never one to let talent ride the bench while an inferior player played. Just ask Pittman. My point is that TQS is a proven commodity in this offense and he'll come fairly cheap (and if we've seen anything this off-season, it's been continuity. TQS brings that.). He's proven that he can survive crushing hits (unlike Harris/Hardy) despite Brees actively trying to get him killed every time he's touched the ball, he can block when asked, and stays quiet when the ball doesn't go his way (Cooks.). You can ask a rookie to come in and play the same role, but they'll still have to spend most of the season getting comfortable with the plays (Even vets like Sanders had trouble picking it up, and it's unlikely to change with PC taking over as the offensive play caller.). Would you rather have the proven commodity, a possibly decent rookie that'll be more or less redshirted for the season, or overpay for a glorified backup slot WR?

Unless you're replacing him with a Golden Tate/Cole Beasley-type of guy, that #4 spot isn't getting better. That is, unless you bring in a big-name(s) like Godwin/Adams(unlikely)/Fuller/Williams at WR (thus making your #3/#4 some combination of Hardy/Callaway).
