Inflation here? gas/grocery prices just continue to climb

No, modern plants can't melt down. It's a fact known for many years now. Would I welcome one? Yes. Sadly many don't due to ignorance

Well, they can melt down technically. They just won't in the same way as Chernobyl for the reasons stated in the article. There still could be a Fukushima style accident though, however unlikely.

I do support more investments into nuclear energy though.
