Both of those would have required trading assets... Those guys weren't on the bleachers with Winston. And they may have made plays for them... and decided they weren't enough of an upgrade per cost.
One thing that's not disputable is... The Saints FO was actively looking to replace JW this offseason with a better player. And they will likely continue to do so until the find a real franchise QB... just as they should.
