Commanders and Saints large presence at Sam Howells Pro Day.

When he runs, he has a Kamara-esque quality to him in that he looks like he's been stopped but somehow keeps going and breaks out into the open. And he doesn't look fast, but seems to pull away from defenders. Some of those touchdown runs screem "how did he do that?"

Yeah, he's not incredibly fast but seems to know when to run, has good enough speed to get where he thinks he can get, and has good vision. He's also appears to have good size to take a few hits.

With the caveat that this is all highlights so they aren't going to show the bad stuff, as a thrower he appears to have a very good arm. But, what impresses me the most is his ball placement. I saw a few back shoulder throws, throws to where only the receiver can get it, and throws places where the receiver can keep running when the ball gets there. But, since this is highlights, I'm not sure if he can or does do those things consistently. Based on his likely draft position, I'm guessing not.

That being said, he is going to have to learn how to play under center because he looks to have always been in the shotgun running a lot of RPOs. So, how good he will be will depend on how smart he is and how willing he is to work on learning and NFL offense, how to play under center and doing the good things consistently.
