Jarvis Landry visiting Saints tomorrow

I think Landry’s draft situation should be a lesson we learned for the Saints. 2014 was an absolutely loaded WR class. The Saints traded up to get Brandin Cooks, but the error they made was not taking advantage of that draft class and drafting SJB instead of Landry. I hope this year the Saints won’t be content with just grabbing one WR. Heck…get three of them if all I care. And throw in a TE on top of that. This is a great WR class and value will be found throughout the draft.

It seems to me that we may be willing to get another veteran contract, for either Landry or Mathieu. If it was my choice, I prefer Mathieu but I don't think he will come to our price.

It is very important to understand the role Landry will play with us, more of a 3rd down/moving the chain receiver. We don't have that right now, and it won't diminish the need to go for a speedster at the first round.

What signing Landry will allow us, is to use an earlier pick on getting either a compliment running back or a tight end, both positions of need.

But since Landry's contract will be short termed, the need for a similar player will be delayed for a year or two.
