We have to remember these facts... As of today, The Saints don't have a 1st rounder next year, nor a 2nd rounder the following year.... And every QB on the team currently is either on a 1 year deal (Either in Fact or in Structure)... or is developmental at best.

If they really like one of these guys... Odds are good that we take one with one of our first 3 picks (PS.. Vegas thinks the same)

It is possible that they take a QB with one of their picks from the 1st through the 7th this year. It might even be likely. But, given that Loomis said the trade for the 2nd first was initiated by Philly, it tells me the Saints had no plans to move up for a QB. And if they had no plans to trade up, that tells me that they are not convinced any of these QBs are franchise QBs. And if you trade next year's one and don't plan to guarantee and QB pick this year by trading up, it tells me while they are not convinced Winston is the guy, they are at least okay with the idea of him starting for the next 2 years. Otherwise, they would have a plan to move up to get the QB they want this year or they would have kept next year's first round pick. They could still take a QB at 16 or 19 if the right guy falls, but it's not part of some plan to replace Winston because they see it as essential.
