I’m very proud of this Pelicans team . I think they shocked lots of people and the media. They fought and flustered Phoenix. No one expected that. We may not have won the series but if this young team learns from this experience plus get Zion back full time we can be very dangerous next season. For sure - and it was obvious during the playoffs that this team plays hard for each other and for their coach. Seeing Willie Green in tears last night just shows how much he wants it, and seeing these kinds of things from a young pro team is very encouraging. Teams can have players and talent, but absent overwhelming talent (that you sometimes see in the NBA) success can often come from these intangibles. Plus you have to give the front office high grades for what they put together in a year that they could have chalked up to rebuilding.

So much to look forward to . . .
