Tyrann Mathieu and Saints to re-visit talks

Because things happen. The best you can do in the draft is accumulate the best players you can regardless of position. Checking boxes is an inferior strategy to accumulating talent because you never know what will happen tomorrow. Accumulate players not check marks.
True, they should always take the BPA within their ratings cloud, and they do.

But the Saints also talk about having a vision for each player. I'm sure, absolutely no doubt, that they have one for Taylor. Usually the vision can be seen, at least generally, by fans without a ton of guesswork. In this case, I just can't see that choice, at that point in the draft. Imo, it just makes no sense. In time that vision will become apparent, but for now the choice leaves me puzzled.
