Tyrann Mathieu and Saints to re-visit talks

George Pickens, Alex Pierce, or Skyy Moore would contribute immediately on the offense… James Cook would likely be the starting RB for around 6 games!
Trey McBride realistically could have won TE1.
Bryan Cook is an actual Safety that would’ve made a bunch more sense.

So there’s 5 guys off the top of my head

I liked McBride and those receivers but when you factor in Harty, Callaway and TQS there's still a lot of talent for that #3 spot. Doubt they've given up on Trautman, Johnson has talent and a focused Hill might be good despite his low career catches vs salary but we can't do anything to change that.

Roby hasn't been all that great when he's been asked to play and he and Lattimore have missed time. CB is one of those spots where it's really hard to argue against adding depth there even if they don't start. Plus I think Allen made those comments knowing we'd be going after Mathieu, I think it was the plan all along unless we had someone real talented fall. Start Taylor at CB this year and as he gets acclimated in the future give him more reps at safety.

Also we were last in the league at yards given up on punt returns despite having a really good punter and ST pro-bowler. That's a severally underrated impact he can have as a rookie if he can help improve that.
