To be fair, did he say these would be “huge debuts”? He might have and I just missed it, but I don’t remember these being hyped new additions on tv.

I didn’t even know they were definitely going to be debuts at all until this afternoon.

Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t super excited about either one, and I DO think that the Itoh reveal was a letdown after Johnny Elite.

But the non-hyped “joker” has given us people like Matt Sydell, Lio Rush, and (a per appearance) Itoh before.

Athena would have been awesome but it’s not like he promised a main event-er but then delivered Johnny and Itoh.

Do we even know if they are full-time signed talents yet?
