Inflation here? gas/grocery prices just continue to climb

Gas was $4.49 yesterday and the same stations I drive by every day are now $4.75 this morning. This is not sustainable for most Americans.

Unpopular opinion: Americans got spoiled by low gas prices and falling travel costs. From 2013-2021, average gas prices were sub-$3. The average mpg for light trucks has gone from 19.5 to 25 mpg from 2005 to 2020, a 30% increase. Hybrid vehicles further reduced costs. The actual cost to drive has been stable or falling for most of the last decade.

Rising gas prices will drive public demand for EVs. Amazon and their last mile delivery don’t work well with high gas. Americans still won’t support public transportation.
