Actually, Smitty's in Kenner makes Crab Cakes (stuffed crab) that tastes EXACTLY like my Dad makes, which is a good thing. But it's a different animal. It's just as much breadcrumb and seasoning as it is crab meat. Don't get me wrong, it's freakin delicious, but Rusty Pelican is something else entirely. The only breabcrumbs are the Panko on the outside. The inside is pure crab meat and flavor. Damnit.... not I gotta make a short trip to see the lake.
