Texas, the new Florida

We’ve lived in neighborhoods with HOAs for over 20 years. For the most part, I have no issues with them. We play by the rules, which really aren’t that big of a deal in our current hood. Ours didn’t allow basketball goals for the homes withe driveways in the front. Me and a buddy protested it, got enough signatures, and the bylaws were changed to allow them as long as they don’t look broken or rundown. I have read horror stories about others, though where board members who have no life, will actually measure the length of grass and write citations.
