I almost feel like, with the investment they are making in this, it has to be good. Don't get me wrong, sometimes studios throw money away without any kind of quality check, but this is the most expensive TV show in history by quite a bit. It would be economic malfeasance to not have the right people in place to ensure it's good.

I could be horribly wrong, but I think Amazon has too much to lose, literally, to roll out crap in this case.

That was my thought a long time ago, but that first sneak peak gave me a bad feeling like -- looked and felt to CW-ish. This latest trailer looks better.

The one thing I wish the movies and this show would convey more is a sense of sadness and loss that seems to permeate the books, but with that core of hope for the future and carrying on. They lean in too much on the fantasy adventure stuff with not enough sense of Celtic mystery.
