No doubt. There's a big difference in having Trautman as your 3rd or 4th primary target and having him as the 5th or 6th weapon. There isn't going to be that much pressure on the young man this season in terms of seeing a lot of targets. He should get lost in the shuffle and have some really great opportunities to make a play when his number is called.

This year his primary role should be as a blocker but he could be a sneaky option with the WRs running deeper routes. Middle of the field is going to be a pasture. Before the TE became one of the featured elements of SP's offense I can remember our TEs being butt naked open. Like the defense forgot they were eligible to catch passes. Old school guys like Ernie Conwell, Billy Miller, David Thomas, etc.
