Self Checkout

I was torn on them originally. I used to think, "Am I getting an employee discount for ringing up my items?" But then after using them and not having to deal with another person(which is usually a good thing), I have started using them. It's also funny when there are multiple self checkouts and I walk up to one with a person next to me. I finish scanning, bagging, and paying for my items and the other person is still sitting there slowly scanning their items. The looks I've gotten have been pretty funny.

Although, when my wife and I were moving our son into his apartment in Ruston when he was attending La. Tech, we went to the Ruston Wal-Mart to get some cleaning supplies and other general items he probably would need. I also had to buy some beer for after the work was done the next day. This was around 10PM on a Friday night. There were no cashiers available. Only self checkouts were open. Yep, it was a lot of fun with a basket full of stuff going through a self checkout. And add to that, the light flashing because I had bought beer. Fun times.
