I think this is going to be the underrated signing of the year.

Watching his interview today, WOW. This guy is big, strong, cool, collected, cerebral…..and at 34…..lots of tread left on those tires.

He’s been a very solid multiple pro bowl type QB with a terrible franchise.

No drama at all however, he just suited up every week for 9 seasons and went to work.

If he never plays a down for us, he knows he’s the backup and will be so helpful to Jameis in practice, game planning and in between series on game days.

If the unfortunate happens and JW gets injured……this isn’t Taysom, Book or Simien……this is a pro bowl NFL QB in the Ryan Fitzpatrick mold.

His interview was so impressive. No doubt he’s a big time well respected leader …..whether he plays of not. Having a vet player as your peer , helping coach you along the way……can only help JW.

Not to mention, he’s a corn fed kid from Texas……seems like we do all right with Texas QBs. 😎⚜️

Pretty sure Dalton ain't no Billy Joe. :D
I never thought Dalton was bad as least when he was in Cinci. But the coaching kind of let him down to where he could of been alot more than what he was. I never could understand why he never beat Prescott in Dallas, or win the job in Chicago, guess thats a Jerry Jones thing and a Chicago thing.

He played here in Katy, TX. He is a phenomenal person and QB. Unfortunately, he's had to play for some horrible teams with little supporting cast. He could be a winning QB1 here with the talent in place.

This reminds me when we had Mark Brunell has the backup to Brees. Solid starter on the second half of his career helping out the No. 1 while still contributing in the QB room and on the sideline.
Not me, Brunell was literally at the very end of his career whereas Dalton here has more than 5 years left. He's insanely better than Mark at this point.

A lot of the value of a backup QB is off the field, during the week…..on the sidelines on game day.
I’m guessing Brunell provided that in spades.
