No one can say that coach Allen didn't give this young man an honest look to see what he can do. I've seen enough though. Good kid, but not ready for the big stage.
It's like, nothing about him excites me. He's probably not as dreadful as some are making him out to be, but I'm also not seeing anything that makes me want to see him hang around as a project or whatever.
Andy Dalton is intriguing from that "steady, veteran game manager who has been to the playoffs and a few pro bowls" standpoint, particularly considering that we have a well-rounded team that won't always have to rely on him to win the games.
Jameis Winston is intriguing from that "former college national champion who has shown flashes and got the Saints off to a solid start prior to his injury last season" standpoint.
As others have pointed out, Hill is QB3 anyway........and, well, if we're at that point again during this season, we won't have to worry about the playoffs (or won't have to worry about being in the playoffs for very long) anyway.
